For those starting their adventure with Katori:

The old year 2022 is behind us. The New Year 2023 is on the horizon, and as we know, "New Year, new me" :), along with new New Year's resolutions. However, why bother in crowded gyms or swimming pools when you can pleasantly train your body and mind with Katori Shinto Ryu 3 times a week 😉 You can come for the first training until the 10th day of the month. We accept people from the age of 15. Trainings take place in accordance with the current schedule for 2022 / 2023:

  • Mondays, 8:15 p.m. – 9:45 p.m., ul. Lubomirskiego 19 – beginner/intermediate group
  • Tuesdays, 20:15 – 21:45, ul. Akacjowa 5 – intermediate and advanced groups
  • Wednesdays, 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., ul. Akacjowa 5 – beginner/intermediate group
  • Thursdays, 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., ul. Smolensk 7 – beginner/intermediate group

Enough is enough register and come. Take sports clothes with you, and if you don't have your own bokken - Please let us knowso that we can take a spare one to a specific training session.

For people training:

–  A new training organization system

We are introducing further changes in the organization of training. It will be introduced during part of each training session (depending on the attendance of both groups).
division into beginner and intermediate groups. Thanks to this, each training session will provide the opportunity to practice long weapons and other more advanced katas.

–  Naginatajutsu seminar in Krakow – February 4, 2023

On February 4, 2023, a seminar on Naginata will be held in Krakow. To participate in the seminar, knowledge of at least one Naginatajutsu kata is required. More details will be available soon below this link.

–  Katori Shinto Ryu Seminar in Berlin – 04 – 05/03/2023

In March, we are pleased to invite you to the international Katori Shinto Ryu seminar in Berlin, led by Sensei Ulf Rott
5'Dan Katori Shinto Ryu. The required condition for participation is prior registration under this link. The seminar is intended for practitioners of all levels of advancement. A necessary condition for participation is to present a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken 24 hours before the start of the seminar.

Price list:

  • entire seminar 40 EUR / 30 EUR *
  • training for yudansha +10 EUR
  • training for kodansha +10 EUR
  • single training session EUR 15 / EUR 10 *

* – discount for pupils, students, seniors and the unemployed

Schedule:

March 4, 2023 – Saturday
10:00 – 12:00 – joint training

15:00 – 16:00 – training for yudansha (from 1st dan)
16:15 – 18:15 – joint training
18:30 – 20:00 – exams

March 5, 2023 – Sunday
9:30 – 10:30 – Kodansha training (from 3rd dan)
11:00 – 13:00 – joint training

–  TAKE 5-4′ kyu spring examination session – March 21, 2023

We cordially invite our students to the spring TAKE examination session. The exam will be conducted for grades 5′ and 4′ kyu at the Piarów high school on the street Akacjowa 5 from 20:15 to 22:00 and will be preceded by an earlier warm-up and training.

–  Katori Shinto Ryu examination session in Stara Wieś

During the winter camp in Stara Wieś, which took place on December 10, 2022, exams for grades from 5 kyu to 2 Dan were conducted. We are proud to announce that as a result, our yudansha population is increasing 🙂 Congratulations to all the candidates, especially Iga and Adam for passing their first dan and Grześ for being promoted to 2'Dan 🙂
